Start of fairy Quilt

Hi,
This is the beginnings of my first quilt after Nancy Crow. The starter is an alphabet fairy panel that I brought on the way to upper hutt that week. it will be for wayne's first Grand daughter. I am using some existing strips from the class & making some new ones. I think I'll need to dye a bit more fabric this weekend. I don't think the bright apricot piece is right. I also have a poem that I would like to include. So I have a lot of design work to do on this yet. Any comments are always welcome.

Well, I've had the most awesome week with Nancy Crow at a retreat at Upper Hutt. No quilting class will ever be the same again. It was incrediby inspiring. I have learnt a tremendous amount. This is a photo of the quilt top that is the culmination of a weeks work. The days were intensive and long. Starting at 5.30 - 6.30 am to 10.00 - 11.30pm. Nancy was there from 9am - 5pm & stopped in for a short while in the evening to answer any questions. I am now going to continue on & practise what I have leart. So watch this space.
